Seeking a community member to participate as a Community Liaison


The Bonaparte Indian Band (BIB) is seeking a community member to participate as a Community Liaison between the BIB technical and community highway committees


The Community Liaison will:

  • attend every community highways meeting, and every technical highways meeting
  • be responsible for chairing, facilitating, and scheduling the community highways meetings, which must take place at least once per month
  • be responsible for succinctly and accurately reporting concerns, questions, and comments from the community meeting to the technical meeting
  • be responsible for succinctly and accurately relaying information from the technical committee back to the community committee
  • be a point person for community concerns regarding highways


  • Must have excellent attention to detail
  • Must have excellent people skills and be able to work with a variety of different individuals respectfully
  • Must be punctual and reliable
  • Experience in chairing and facilitating meetings an asset
  • Minute-taking experience and asset
  • An understanding of transportation issues within BIB traditional territory an asset


The Community Liaison will be paid an honorarium of $100 per meeting attended, which will cover $20/hour of work, two hours for each meeting and three hours for preparation.
